Application for Variance
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a variance of Stormwater Management.

Project Description: | The project has an approximate area of 2.07 acres and is located on the Notre Dame of Maryland University Campus, on the southeast corner of N. Charles Street and Homeland Avenue intersection. The project consists of a new development for construction of an artificial athletic turf field and associated storm drains, replacing a natural grass athletic turf field. The Applicant is requesting a variance in accordance with Article 7, Division II, §23-4 of the City Code for approximately 2.07 acre for this project. The applicant will not be required to provide the recharge volume of 1,240 cu.ft. for 2.07 acre of impervious area associated with this project which is unable to provide underground infiltration due to the use of impermeable liner for the SWM facility because of existing high-water table.
