Application for Waiver

The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works is accepting public review and comments on this project’s application for a Redevelopment waiver. If granted, the waiver would allow the construction of this project to be governed by the rules and requirements of to Baltimore City’s Ordinance 10-277. The applicant must provide stormwater management for the proposed project whether or not the waiver is granted.

Applicant: Potomac Holdings, 7508 Wisconsin Ave # 2, Bethesda, MD 20814-3561

Project Description: The Project Site has an area of 15,831 square feet or 0.36 acre. The applicant is proposing to remove an existing asphalt parking lot which covers the entire site and to construct an 11-story student housing facility with a green roof. Based on the existing land use and existing impervious area coverage, this project qualifies as redevelopment.

The Applicant is requesting a Redevelopment Waiver in accordance with Section 23-7(C)(3) of the City Code. The project meets the applicable requirements of implementing environmental site design practices to the maximum extent practicable and reduction of impervious area for a combined area of at least 50% of the site’s existing impervious area within the limits of disturbance.
