The Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW) Household Hazardous Waste Collection season is in full swing. The next Household Hazardous Waste Collection for 2021 will be Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5 from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

DPW's Household Hazardous Waste Collection takes place at the Northwest Citizens' Convenience Center, 2840 Sisson Street. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection season runs from April to October and generally occurs on the first Friday and Saturday of the month.

This is an opportunity for Baltimore City residents to dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) materials such as oil-based paints, pesticides, herbicides, car and household batteries, drain cleaners, pool chemicals, and many other items. Latex paint is NOT hazardous waste, it can be dried up and the cans put out for regular trash collection.

For additional HHW drop-off dates and a list of items accepted during DPW’s Household Hazardous Waste Collection drop-offs, please visit the Recycling Services webpage: https://publicworks.baltimorecity.gov/recycling-services.
